Hello everyone, I am Margie.
I am a teacher and school counsellor with many years experience working with children, families and school communities in the areas of education, social/emotional development, mental health and wellbeing. I have been blessed with a meaningful and rewarding career that has nurtured my own wellbeing through helping others. Working closely to support other people in the complex education system for so many years, I came to understand the important interrelationship between every aspect of life and how this contributes to each individual’s personal growth and state of wellbeing. I am now on a journey to use my understandings, skills and experience to share the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda to help others.
I am currently a student with the highly respected Dr Ajit at the Australasian Institute of Ayurvedic Studies. I am enrolled in the Diploma of Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultation and will go on to become an Ayurvedic Practitioner through the Advance Diploma of Ayurveda. My journey with Ayurveda began around twenty years ago on a trip to India and since the seed was planted way back then, I have come to know that,
Ayurveda is a truly holistic system of overall health that is freely available to everyone.
I have seen the amazing healing potential of Ayurveda firsthand and have felt the benefits of making better lifestyle, dietary and emotional choices in my own day-to-day routines. In a time when the demands of modern life, increasing levels of stress and emotional strain cause unhappiness, illness and disease, Ayurveda has never been more relevant.
Stay tuned for upcoming workshops on Ayurveda and Ayurvedic cooking, at the Centre.
