Get into Zen

Being swayed with the ups and downs of life is a common scene. It seems like the normal thing to do, until… you are pushed beyond your limit!

You can only cry so much or feel so low or get so ecstatic. After a threshold you stop feeling the feeling and go beyond. You naturally move into a zone of stillness. You feel the ‘zen’ by default.

No matter what adversities we go through, our essence remains untouched by them.

The knowing that you are always safe and are indestructible gives rise the quality of equanimity.

A woman having a natural (drug free) delivery experiences this. The pain peaks to such an extent where she disconnects from her body and unconsciously connects with the infinite power beyond. This infinite power is the essence that pervades the body and mind.

You and I are made of the same essence. We have access to it’s infinite power at all times.

But do we know how to connect with it at will?

Tuning inwards through closed eye meditation is the method I advocate for¬†connecting with your essence. If you are a beginner and unsure about your ‘ability’ to meditate, you can begin with practising mindful breathing. 3 counts in and 3 counts out for a set duration. Slowly you can progress from there.
