There are a number of acupuncture meridians on your fingertips, and when tapping you are not only tapping on the meridian points, you are tapping on the ones in your fingers too.
Note: Traditional EFT has you tapping with the fingertips of your index finger and middle finger but I have modified this approach by using both hands and fingers, this allows you to tap on more acupuncture points.
THE MIRROR WORK
This is a very helpful exercise that you can do. Sit in front of your mirror and start tapping, this causes a deeper connection with the sub conscious. It’s almost as if the mirror is reflecting your energy back to you rather than drifting off into space. Remember to do your breathing it helps to calm the tension in the body too.
Louise Hay, Healer and Author of book Heal Your Life, recommends looking in the mirror, saying an EFT affirmation and tapping into the EFT points to pay careful attention. Listen to what you hear, feel and have a knowing about, especially focusing on negative messages that can be blocking your progress.
This negative message is the ‘the sabotaging voice in our heads’ that is frequently beating ourselves up for every little thing no matter how small. We can forgive ourselves on a daily basis by doing this mirror exercise.
BE CAREFUL WITH WHAT YOU SAY
Most of your power is in your words. What you think, you create, manifest and bring into fruition.
Your beliefs shape your life. The things you say are an extension of your thoughts. This is why it is so important to never berate yourself. If you keep telling yourself you are hopeless and worthless then you will stay stuck. So, always tell yourself that you are doing the best you can.
When you start forgiving yourself, then you start loving yourself and acceptance of change comes easier. Forgive yourself for not being perfect. Just tap with “I’m doing the best I can”.
WHEN TO DO EFT
- When you wake up
- During meditation
- When stopped at the traffic lights
- Before going to bed or
- Anytime you need to release stress.
